I switched to a 1.8Ghz I7 11' Macbook Air for my on-the-road machine this summer. Coming from a 15' Macbook Pro it was a breath of fresh air to have something so small and light. But can it handle the everyday tasks of a photog ?
I made this quick video to show it's speed at handling image ingesting from cards using Photo Mechanic and Lightroom and then opening huge files in Photoshop too.
