Motion 2011: Feed Your Brain

Motion Conference is held every year in New Mexico, Albuquerque that brings talented designers from all over the world. This year, Ex'pression College for Digital Arts was exclusively selected to present a motion project under the theme of birthday, the fifth anniversary of Motion.

Raw creativity in the business place is frequently compromised by budgets, schedules, and corporate guidelines. Our goal was to celebrate raw creativity and encourage designers to break outside the box: know the rules and know how to break them. We used gelatin and LED lights to create a stop motion video with integrated motion graphics. Gelatin is a colorful, playful, and fun medium. But more importantly, it is malleable and flexible, an approach that designers should take to arrive at a creative solution.
