Mill Creek is located in the Cohutta Wildlife Management Area near Chatsworth, Georgia. It is a beautiful place in a fairly remote area. There is a crude trail starting at Hickey Gap Campground which follows the west side of the creek going downstream. Directions can be viewed at freecampsites.net/hickey-gap-campground/ .
From talking to some locals, the creek has an intermittent flow but clears up quickly after a rainfall. I visited it when its flow was 5 cfs and wouldn’t recommend it at a lower level. You can view real time flow data for the creek at waterdata.usgs.gov/ga/nwis/uv?site_no=02384540
This was my first chance to use my new 4’ jib from Glideshot. It is a nice piece of gear and performs well considering its budget price. However, my carry distance isn’t very far as it requires 15 lbs of counter balance for my video camera. On this trip I tried out using two 1 gallon plastic jugs which I filled with creek water once on site to lessen my load. It worked pretty well.
