Don't these guys have a poison bite? Has it ever done that to you?
  • Danny plus 7 months ago
I checked Wikipedia, and its not poisonous, per say, but if they do bite you then you transform into one every full moon. That and you also start to really like Nickelback.
  • Georgia Twigg 2 months ago
They are poisonous, the venom can send you into anaphylactic shock, but the poachers pull their teeth so they can't bite

Oooh I want a sweet little Slow Loris! Poor thing seems very patient, and geez so trusting with the guy aiming the thing at her (try that with a squirrel: lose a lens, or at least a finger); I totally would have bitten.

For sure Loris is amazingly cute with his big eyes......but
wouldn't it be better for him to be in his real environnement ...in nature in Madagascar !
Not in cage of an appartement or in zoo ...
  • mikemantle 6 months ago
leave it to a greenpeace loon to ruin a good moment. I'm sure Loris isn't complaining.....

    Great video! Looks well loved.

I agree with Tony 100%. At least buy her a social partner.

Don't buy loris' at all, it's illegal. If anything give this loris to a centre where they can release her back into the wild and report the owners

I am allergic to cute....but THIS cracks me up. Big time. Absolutely hilarious. My dog looks pretty lugubrious (sad and downtrodden) when I fail to take the hint and throw her frisbee...but Sonya takes the cake.

Are these legal in the U.S.? If so, how could I go about finding one? I am in love!!

These are endangered, it is against the law to own one here in the US. One of the things that is usually done to the ones being sold for pets is that their teeth are pulled :( They are hunted for their eyes in some parts of the world, for some type of medicine.

Buying any endangered animal encourages those who illegally trade in them, even if you're buying to save the animal. Better to report the trader to the police as they are an endangered and protected species. This vid is incredibly cute, but after reading up and seeing the images of maltreated loris' as they're being transported has just made me question the people who've managed to get hold of one to make this video. What they've done is illegal and encourages huge cruelty to a very delicate and fragile creature that should be breeding in the wild.
