1. EOS 5D MarkII in Twilight Conditions
Some shots in Zurich this weekend to test my new Canon EOS 5D Mark II in twilight conditions. The place and the surrounding houses in the suburb of Oerlikon have been constructed only recently.
The MOV-files from the memory card have been transcoded to Apple ProRes 422 codec for editing in Final Cut Pro.
For most of the shots in darker conditions the camera has chosen 3200 ISO. The picture profile was set to „Neutral“ with lowest values for sharpening and contrast.
For the small amount of available light I found the Canon 5D II to deliver a decent performance. More intriguing however is the moire effect visible in the first two takes of the video (wide shot with buildings). In both shots the artifacts are clearly visible in the windows - especially in take two.

Beautiful images. Just picked up the 5DMK2 body today. I'm excited to get started. Any recommendations for type of CF card and lenses? Thanks!

Hi Jesse, to start I would recommend the 24-100mm / 4 L -Kit lens. It's image stabilizer helps for hand held shots. Memory cards I use 16GB from Kingston, 133x, they're cheap, and work also for video recording. No problems so far.
