While this story showcases the 2011 "Humpy Run" on Washington State's Snohomish River, I aimed to broaden it by conveying the sense of anticipation related to the return of Pink Salmon ("Humpies") to the river. In very large numbers, Humpies return to the Snohomish every other year (odd-numbered years). The video also briefly touches on a bit of history, using historical photos.
I shot the video with a Canon 7D. No filters. Edited on MacBook Pro using Final Cut Express. Some color correcting using FCE, no plug-ins.
