Northwest Ohio has suffered many losses in recent years due to domestic violence. In fact, 7 of the 9 criminal homicides in Wood County, Ohio since 2002 have been the result of domestic violence. We believe it's time for a positive change.

The development of "The Center," a facility much like those already located in several Northwest Ohio counties, where victims and their children can have access to all necessary legal, medical, and social services related to family violence under one roof.     This was beautifully done, and although it is very sad, we need to become more aware of domestic violence and the dangers of being involved with an abuser.
