I shot this time lapse video while inbound on a cargo ship on the Houston Ship Channel. The sequence begins at Morgan's Point at the head of Galveston Bay, about 30 miles from the sea. The trip continues for another 22 miles to the Port of Houston Turning Basin about three hours later - three minutes in this video. Shot with a Nikon D700 and a 17-35mm f/2.8 lens zoomed out to 17mm.

Houston is the busiest port in the US for ship traffic.
