At First Light: Snow in Chiswick, London

Taken just after 7.30am on Feb 2 2009 during the heaviest snowfall in London for 18 years. This single video on Vimeo shows Turnham Green Terrace and Chiswick High Road in west London as commuters attempted to get to work. Tube trains were struggling in the conditions with services about to be suspended, while others did their best on foot, on a bike or in a car. Most ended giving up and taking the day off.

The second of three related films - uploading to check if the original HD has been lost due to merging H.264 AVI files in movie software which only allowed the end result to be saved in WMV. Made with a Creative Vado HD pocket camcorder and upgraded linked software. (It appears to have uploaded in HD here when it did not in YouTube, where only the original "raw" AVI files were displayed as HD. Any experts out there with an explanation? Is Vimeo just a better site?!)
