The most northern part of Jutland is often called "Lysets Land". That means Land of Light. But as well you can say "vendsyssel" for bowl of winds.

We spent three weeks there - here is the film: hopelessly old-fashioned, no timelapse, slowly edited, far too long (you have to be patient for more than 13 minutes), lots of soft transitions, no colour-grade, no split-screen, nothing but pictures;-).

But in the middle of it you can feel the blood freezing in your veins: there is a real danish monsterfrog!

Panasonic SD 80 (and in the last clip my old Panasonic NV-GS 150)

P.S.: This is a reloaded version, I corrected some mistakes of the first version.

Nice video Walter. It's beautiful there. You made beautiful shots with fine compositions and focus. It must have been hard to film because of the strong wind. You have many beautiful shots, but 04:30 is certainly one of my favorites. Added to vimeo.com/channels/hdtime

Thank you Ben. You are right with the comment on the wind - sometimes even my strong tripod by Manfrotto was shaked and lots of shots were unusable.

And thanks for adding to "HD-times".

I really like your video Walter, "Gut gemacht" :-)

Lots of beautifull details, and wonderful pictures. You certainly have an eye for the good picture.
Unfortunately there is a lot of disturbing sound from the strong wind, which in my opinion should have been reduced, or eliminated in post.

Thanks for sharing, I spent 2 weeks in the same area in the summer 2011, and it was a pleasent memory to mee, seeing your video.

    Hi Walter,
Very nice film, full of beautiful footage; at first I thought it was way too long, but your editing skills, good taste, and ability to construct a story with the material at hand made it possible for me to lose track of time and watch the whole thing. Yes, I know, I am being a bit blunt here, but I am sure you rather hear truthful comments from those that at the end are fans of your work. Take care my friend, and thank you for sharing your vacation with us...

Thank you very much Felipe. Well, I also thought about the lenght of the film, and I weighted on dividing it in two or more parts. But then I decided to present the film as a whole. Thank you for watching it.

  • NIce compilation of a vacation in a unique setting. It reminds me a little of Cape Cod, MA.
I liked the scenes of the twilight segment at 4:02 et al.
    ~~
I found a few details a bit off (and they can be fixed easily).
    >the wind noise on the microphone
    >music of the twilight segment
    >length of presentation.

    Thanks for sharing,
