Prom nears and things seem to be spiralling out of control for the typically composed ISATU. In this coming of age story,West African tradition conflicts with American idealism and Isatu is forced to reassess her alliances.

Great film. Story was solid and the acting was on point. What kind of camera did you shoot it with?

Hey thanks for commenting! My DP used a DVX100B with 35mm lens adaptor. lol at the time that was in, but HD has since trumped DVX by far...

Great film. Very powerful. I hope to one day make films like this which make people think about the way they interact with people.
So in Sierra Leone, the say "wahala", they eat jollof rice and put "o" and the end of sentences too. I thought that was just in Nigeria.
If you're wondering how I found this, I actually googled African Booty Scratcher after a conversation with my friend. I heard a lot of Africans say they were called that in grade school but I didn't know where the phrase came from.
I like song. What is it?

Great job. My parents are West African (Nigeria and Sierra Leone) and even though I think I grew up pretty American, I feel like there definitely was a divide between the black american kids I went to school with and how I was raised. I even had a teacher tell me to “go back to Africa” in the 7th grade, so it's great to see something like this brought to light.
