i did not undertand the making of the video? why is the guy covered in blankets?
  • Kijek / Adamski 4 months ago
So it was dark enough that he could see preceding frame on the lightbox. But honestly - the making process was so obvious and boring that this additional short meant to be rather a joke. We were drawing most of the animation at night anyway, so no blankets were needed.
  • sorbetes 4 months ago
    that makes sense :D
but i wanted to see how he draws the lines and shapes :(
the animation is really great and i was hoping if i can learn anything int he making of the video :(
    anyway, cheers!

How many pictures you had to draw and how many time you needed to continue the whole video?
  • Kijek / Adamski 4 months ago
Approximately 1850 drawings in about two months.

Lots of wows and you deserve it - also very refreshing to see the simple animation technique come out so beautifully.
I have a few ideas that I put on the shelf but now I am beginning to think they are possible upon seeing your work. Thank you for inspiration to aim higher!

Is it really so simple? I think full animation in 2D is more skillful than 3D sometimes. It is very refreshing to see something not dependent on heavy compositing and rigging, and blah, blah.... I prefer this any day.
