Great work! I have been linking this to everybody I know - many band fans and musicians. I have been in several community bands since 1977 and you have really presented the fun and spirit that is what makes the whole thing exist...

Do you know about the recent trend in "alternative marching bands" that have been playing at regional Honk! Festivals?

Terrific piece of work - I'll be passing the link around as well. I played in community bands in high school - in central Illinois many communities had a bandstand in the park that was used in the summer at least. Great place for students to rub up against adult players and learn - and perhaps see how their music enthusiasm might be enjoyed throughout their lives! I'm still an eager player (with a lot still to learn but I'm working on it) at 70!
