Dottie Reichard worked closely with Father Drinan, the Congressman from Massachusetts who was resigned at the request of the Catholic Church, and Barney Frank. Both of these men are irascible and needed someone to pick up after them when they were less than diplomatic. Dottie served that function. In addition to all of her good political works, she was instrumental in the building of a new library in Newton, Massachusetts. The annual Newton Democratic City Committee Brunch of 2011 celebrated her life and works.
