Pennington Education Presents: Bayshore 4th Graders Final Project Fall 2010

Sponsored by the San Francisco Film Society, Pennington Education was able to pilot it's media literacy workshop as part of a 'filmmaker in the classroom' program. Starting in September of 2010 and running until December 2010, the twenty-five fourth graders produced a series of group projects that were combined to make this video.

These group projects all focused on the question, 'what do you think would improve your school, Bayshore Elementary?' The students answered with short videos that were strung together and intercut with short interviews from each group.

Thanks to the San Francisco Film Society and Bayshore Elementary. This project was produced using the Pennington Education Media Literacy Workshop curriculum. As a general goal, the workshops uses minimal resource filmmaking by teaching the students techniques such as animation and stop motion, to produce their videos.

Although the students made their own project, this video with student interviews was edited together by Myles David Jewell.
