The distinctive feature of this project is that modeling here it should be done along with animation. So it’s necessary to think about modeling strategy.
The flower animation should be as natural as possible. So we need to randomize petal shapes and make flower animation quite irregular. We need the right balance between the randomization of these parameters and nice flowing animation.
Other important topics in this project that should be considered are
using mental ray materials for creating subsurface scattering and translucent objects;
importing camera and reference objects from Maya to Adobe After Effects;
correcting the subsurface scattering and diffuse ratio to change surface properties of the flower on the compositing stage.
