    7 exp. WOW! Do this many exposures for HDR really pay off? I must admit I have never used more than 3 exp. What's your experience?

    Hey. Thanks. I normally do 5 exp because the D300 can only do 1ev stop not 2ev as most other cameras. Normally you need +2 and -2 to get a correct tonerange.

    In this scene I had to use 7 exp to get enough detail in the foreground.

    When I set up theese timelapses I always shoot 5 or 7 exp and check them before I shoot the timelapse to see if I have enough tonerange.

    Beautiful stuff...do you use aperture priority mode to keep exposure from changing?
