what are the specks of your computer? and how do you get the nice gradient background? is it setup inside a sphere? looks great.
  • defetto plus 10 months ago
    it's a laptop, dell m90
    dualcore 2.33 ghz
    nvidia quadro fx 2500m
yep it's inside a shaded sphere
    tnx

Don't want to go to off, but do you know if Nvidia Quadro is better for VVVV then a Geforce?
  • defetto plus 10 months ago
no actually i think a geforce is better, since vvvv is directx based and geforce should be optimized for games and such..
honestly im not an expert at all, but i think quadros are better for multiple views like in classic 3d softwares..
    or am i wrong? anyone?

i came right after you publish it and vimeo said that "this video is not longer available"... well it works now! :)
an yeah, .mov is so much better!

I think the music is horrible. you should throw a nice minimal or electro track under this because visually it's really interesting!
  • defetto plus 10 months ago
music preference are personal, but anyhow the overall feeling would be different with a different kind of music..
for example you can have a look at the previous video i posted and see how it taste different
still i think this would work quite good with several kind of music, of course with the right choice of color and animation
    tnx man

well, personally, i think its great you're using some special, lesser known, more specific, less anonymous music... but hey, that's just me ;)
keep up the DOPE ASS WORK dude.
  • defetto plus 10 months ago
    tnx a lot dude ;)

btw i'll make my own music soon.. or late :)
  • moka 10 months ago
Yeah to a certain degree I agree with you that music is up to personal taste. But so is everything visual, even though you and me propably know the rules better to define what's good or bad trying to ignore any taste or preference :)
  • defetto plus 10 months ago
yeah exactly, i meant both music and visual together
so i try to choose the music wisely according to feeling i want to give :)

and i have to say i like the result with this one, but i understand if you dont as much as i do because of the music ;)

Much more flow than the proto type. This moves so good.
just i feel want to see some variation on the color palette. complementary maybe. But it´s great as it is.

    grazie Federico

Miguel, yeah the first one was somehow a prototype :) for some reason it looks bad on vimeo, but really the realtime version looks much better and the movement is really nice as well
actually i still have the png sequence for that one, and i'm going to try and rerender it and eventually replace it here on vimeo, let's see..
    thank you
