Images from Rhinopias Frondosa
Rhinopias Frondosa is a kind of Scorpionfish. Also known as the Weedy Scorpionfish. Rhinopias are very rare and because of their camouflage hard to find. These two species were about 20 to 25 cm big and in the depth of 15m.
I was lucky with the depth, so i had plenty of bottom time and air to take enough footage. Usually i´ve seen other R. at 30m+. If they feel comfortabel they stay at the same place for years. The risen - R. can´t swim well, they walk with their pectoral fins at the bottom.
You can find them in a variety of color, even purple!
You can see a yellow R. frondosa in my video "Macroworld of Bali"

Was this shot in Bali?
For this footage i didn´t use the MacroMate.
The R. were such big, there was no need to use this lense.
I had only one video light. The second was flushed one week before.
It was shot in South Komodo.
bye
A great pleasure to see these marine animals of another world.
Music is according to images
