This is a clip from a longer documentary I am just finishing about Sonoma Mountain Village in Rohnert Park, Sonoma County, California.

This proposed development on 200 acres is the only project in America that has been deemed green enough to be endorsed as a One Planet Community. The WWF and BioRegional UK have chosen only four such communities around the world for this designation, which means the community will adhere to the ten One Planet Principles outlined in the video.

SMV's goal, once it is built out over the next twelve years, is to house 5000 people in 1900 homes while providing 4400 jobs and using zero carbon, having zero waste, and using zero ground water. SMV has already installed the largest privately owned solar array in Northern California and is producing steel framing on-site with recycled steel, as shown in the footage of Codding Steel Frame Solutions.
