Calgary metal supergroup Orphan Hammer has announced the release of their new music video for their track “Pyrrhic Victory – Part 1” off their debut, self-titled EP.

The band worked with Calgary director Doug Cook, who produced and directed the video. Doug has created videos for bands like Divinity, Control Denied, Truck, and will soon be working with Death for the video “Pull the Plug”.

“My focus for the music video was to showcase each of the individual Orphan’s unique expression of “Victory” in their performance, it’s almost like watching a Tribe dance after wining a successful battle.” – Doug Cook

Commented Orphan Hammer guitarist and founder Collin Wo: “Working with Doug was a remarkable experience. The video turned out quite well and we are stoked for the premiere.”

Orphan Hammer is an alliance of members who are also involved in bands such as Gales of Avalon, Misanthropy, Seven Deadly Grins, Sacred Ally, and Wolvengard. In addition to this release, Orphan Hammer will be writing their sophomore album, soon to be unveiled in 2012.
