    Hi Brendan,
    Looks great!!
What is your opinion on the Cine-Xenar lenses?
    Cheers, Arie.
  • Brendan Flynn plus 2 months ago
They are great Arie. The only thing is they weigh a ton. Especially for steadicam and handheld work.

I do not work on steadicam. For handheld I use an easyrig, so no problem. :D
Which follow focus do you use on them? Because the one I saw on the IBC with these lenses were a little flimsy.
  • Brendan Flynn plus 2 months ago
We used the OConnor CFF-1 follow focus. It was really nice. :)

How did you guys find working with these lenses? Wondering from the DPs and 1st ACs point of view...
  • Brendan Flynn plus 1 month ago
We loved them. I don't think I ever heard my DP or AC complain or make any negative remarks at all. Only thing was the rental set's widest lense was a 25mm so we had to supplement with an 18mm Kenji Suematsu for the wide angles. My DP and AC would know better. ;) I would rent them again.
