Hackett Films, is proud to be part of the Graphic festival, now in its second year, hosted by the Sydney Opera House and Screen NSW.

The weekend festival ran 20-21 August 2011 and celebrated the imagination and ideas of visionary creators in the fields of comics, anime, manga, 2D and 3D animation and illustration.

Following on from the branding we created last year, we have created 'Planet Opera House', a floating ship that breaks free of it's foundations creating a surreal, otherworldly structure that floats through the clouds as if powered by its biosphere sails. It is bought to life in a webclip that houses the festival content. Large-scale posters were also created in conjunction with the Opera house design team to promote the festival.

The animation competition was on again this year, with a new theme based on 'Escape'. Hackett Films created three short clips as examples to inspire the entrants.
