Wow, wow, wow. I loved the coloring, the pacing and the editing. And...you did the music, too? Unbelievable.
I normally cannot last a 4 minute vid let alone a 6 min. vid but I never tired during this video. Each shot was completely different than the previous.
Very, very nicely done. Thanks for the inspiration-

Amazing and inspiring. Fantastic Music too! I'm going back to these same places with my 7D in two weeks (third time in two years), and hope that I can achieve the same level of excellence you did in your piece.

I have watched this once again for the umpteenth time and here is what I LOVE about this video-
    1. It's all handheld, no pocket dollys or jibs...pure craftsmanship in the handling of the camera.

    2. The expressions of the subjects throughout are powerful; their eyes..all of it, is caught in each person's little snippet. Even your shots of you on camera, your smile is powerful with the people.

I am curious of what lenses you used? Thanks, Paul!
  • paul wex plus 3 months ago
on 7D 50mm/1.4 used. for the few wide shots 24-70/2.8L on 5DMk2. cheers

Gran trabajo!...

Awesome video! It looks like 35mm film processed to digital! :O Just stunning! I always associated the depth of view you had in this video with the 5D but I'm glad to know I don't need a 36x24mm sensor! I certainly have no excuses now! Just recalling my last missionary trip which was before I had a DSLR and I definitely could see going back just to capture the world in the amazing way you did!
  • paul wex plus 3 months ago
thanks nate!! yes, the 5d shoots much more billiant, but for me the 7d with 50mm has just more life in...cheers

Great movie and fantastic music. Very inspirational. One problem I had with it is the listing of two countries and a city at the end. Someone who's not familiar with the geography could think there really is a country named Bangkok.

Mal so Interesse halber, wie viele Stunden / GB Filmmaterial habt ihr in Asien gesammelt?
