I'd love to hear more about how you did this. What exactly is live projection mapping? And is there a reason that you did this in 35,000 photos instead of shooting video? the shots look so smooth I would not have guessed that it was stop motion.
  • Nathan Spratt 3 years ago
Do you think he has RED or something? Footage of this quality is only capable of being shot with either really expensive cameras (35mm etc) or with cheaper DSLRs and stop motion)
  • dejanseo 3 years ago
It looks like it's just shot by shot and another image light projected on top - quite simple, or am I kidding myself?
  •
  • gegenlicht 3 years ago
Wow absolutly stunning work, frame 1 to frame 35.000 .
Theres a Flame Artist mentioned in the credits,is the last scene is done by light writing? really cool.

at first i thougt you used a 35mm adapter to get this perfect depth of field...
and now i read you make it with your photo camera, fantastic!!

Sure, this live projection technic is really curious, i wond wate it takes to map it! I already have seen 2 animation of live projection technics.. One was the celebration of 600 years of the astronomical clock in prague... vimeo.com/15749093 and there is some of live projection associated with some others institutionals celebrations of museum and institutions...

I wish i could apply this live projection technic associated with dance.... But i wonder what it takes to make it possible! :P

Share with us at least the path we need to choose, hehe... Nice work! Marvelous!

So, aligning projection around the molded plaster wasn't done in Flame? That projection must have taken a lot of calculation to set up. I'm really interested now. The flowers are beautiful.

Hey, amazing work, wondering if you could link me to some of your commercial work, or a portfolio website? Would be greatly appreciated, want to explore more of your work. It's also nice to see that people in the commercial environment still make time to create their own work on the side.
