I recently bought a "Sankor 16D Anamorphic lens X2" and I have been really exited to try it out. So this is a mix of different footage from all over London. Most of it is shot with the Sankor attached to my Canon 70-200mm/4 L.
I really like how this lens performs. With it attached to the 70-200 its a bit heavy and inconvenient to use, but the flares and the image quality is really nice.
One thing I am not really used to yet is that I need to pull focus on both the anamorphic lens and the 70-200. It can be a bit tricky to really find focus and even with the z-finder its a bit hard to tell if its crisp or not, since the image is all stretched in camera.
But I kinda think the slight blurry images turns out a bit cinematic. So, its all good :P
On the 550D I need to be higher than 80-100mm to get rid of the white/washed out vignette, and if I put it on a 50mm lens my image is basically surrounded by a black circle. In post you can always scale everything up a bit to get rid of that, but I find it hard to compose my shots looking trough that.
There are some wider Glidecam shots in there that are shot on the Canon 24-70mm/2,8 and Tamron 10-24mm/3,5-4,5.
