its awesome going through all your videos and seeing your progression! not to say you werent still kicking ass in the early ones but natural progression is always there! while im sitting at my laptop just imagining the stuff i should be doing rather than actually doing them! awesome and inspiring job man! keep it up!

PS you only used the ableton launchpad in 1 of your videos... then went to another 64 then now a 256.. did you not like the launchpad? coz im thinking of getting one myself instead of a monome.
    thoughts?
  • edison plus 3 months ago
    ay man!...thanks thanks!...
i think the launchpad is dope!... i just prefer the monome...
definitely pick one up... shit is fresh!
  • fayek helmi 3 months ago
    awesome! thanks!

This is great Edison. Are you launching clips in ableton live? If so, how are you converting the monome to midi using serial osc?
  • edison plus 3 months ago
    yo thanks!....
im just launching clips via pages...
    using the MIDI triggers page...
i also have a step sequencer page that i didn't use at all in this video...
try it out!... its a great application!

    thanks edison,

I was using the midi triggers page for the same thing, but found that it made ableton cpu load to go up to 150- 300 % sometimes haha! I'll give it another shot.

Do you know if it's possible to have multiple MIDI trigger pages so that I could use my monome on midi trigger page 1 to launch clips, and midi triggerpage 2 to control beat repeat and other effects that i map to my monome?

    thanks for your help!
  • edison plus 3 months ago
hmm... not sure... just make sure you are not creating a midi feedback loop... that could crash your shit real fast...the MIDI routings are super complex.... as for 2 midi pages... i think you can... just create separate ins and outs for them... should work awesome!
  • Vespers 3 months ago
sweet, i'll give it a try. Thanks!
