In this video essay I recount a conversation I had with a women working in the San Diego City Council President Tony Young's office on October 28, 2011. Not only was I surprised by her lack of interest and knowledge of the Occupy San Diego and Occupy Wall Street movement, but by her insensitivity toward the complex system that enabled millions of people to get into home mortgages beyond their ability to afford. It is my hope that sharing this conversation will help bring greater awareness of the message of the movement and the obstacles that must be overcome to bring the kind of change we envision.
