DARK PROJECT Spaziomusica Cagliari
A duo formed by acoustic instruments, Francesca Deriu at the piano and Andrea Bini percussions (Duo Duel); the immages and electric sounds of Signorafranca, i.e. Michele Casanova (alias Dubmode) and Marcello Cualbu (Mantaraffu), a duo specialized in sound/video experimentation; the scores of four Sardinian composers in the “cultured” field, writing music also making use of technology (Franco Oppo, Marcello Pusceddu, Antonello Doro and Fabrizio Casti). Music and visual experiences of traditionally not communicating worlds meet and unite in Dark Project, the production of our Associazione Spaziomusica (organizer of the homonymous festival of contemporary music, celebrating in 2008 its edition number twentyseven).
Within Dark Project, everything is carried out in real time, images, acoustic annd electronic music, being the unifying element in the whole work, as well as each one of the components responds to the expressive necessities of the others, giving form to an sound/video macro-composition where you pass from oune composition to another without any interval accopanied by soulds and images that unite, bind, blend.
Dark Project is a movable, flexible, changeable project, a project that puts under the same denomination of “creative technology” also extremely different artistic experiences.
Technology that places itself through interaction and maybe synthesis among different expressive forms, becoming a very busy crossing that produces endless variations in an unending exchange that lives in a parallel void of the creation and the electronic and digital revolution.
