This project, entitled, "Sub Rosa," was the start of my research into the relationship between metadata and object. This work was shown at Penn State University in the second year graduate exhibition called, "Double Random." The project started with me purchasing a rose at a local flower shop. I dismantled the rose into discreet parts, flattened them and scanned the textures into a computer. I then placed the textures onto a 3D model of the rose that I built in Autodesk Maya and placed data directly onto the surface of the model.
