Boom has launched a pioneer project in the region where it will be held its 7th edition.

One of the sustainability innovations for 2008 is that generators using waste vegetable oil will fuel most of the Boom Festival. In order to supply all the generators, Boom is developing a communitarian project in the Idanha-a-Nova region called "Your Oil Is Music".

It consists in collecting the wasted vegetable oil that is being used in the cities and villages around Boom venue. We’ll recycle the oil in about 6,000 houses covering a population of 12,000 people. This is a pioneer project for a new kind of entertainment awareness.

One liter of oil pollutes one million liters of water.
