This is documentation of a live performance with 16mm film and foley sounds from September 2011. Images of NYC, money and acts of corruption were projected into a bath tub filled with soapy water to the tune of washroom appliances and a gentle stream of bubbles. The audience tossed in pennies, nickels, a few dimes and one or two quarters in an effort to make those dirty things clean.
Sarah Halpern is a freelance financial adviser. She is currently out of work in her field. In the meantime she works as a projectionist in New York City, hangs out with the Optipus Film Club, makes films for live performance and plays in a band named Louise.
