It really is a great resource though. Especially with the number of people looking for jobs these days. So thank you.
...and it totally reminded me to update my website.

all of this is universally relevant, not just to design people.

    well done.

  • Very intersting lecture! I recognized my situation very much. I've created a website and now I'm working to make people watch it! ;-) I would be truly honored if you watched it (www.rrmedia.se) and gave a comment. The english version is quite bad though, mainly because I'm focusing on local level, in Sweden. But I'm working on it! Hahaha
Anyway I'm going to share this with my university in Malmoe, Sweden. =) Thanks!

I'm currently a senior attending a job fair in less than a month as well as the Inspire portfolio breakfast in GA soon! Great video and I took a lot out. Sadly, I think I might have fallen victim to the flashy-hard to update website...

Well, the ironic thing is, learning all that web site stuff is FUN. But, if you want to get a job in Motion Graphics, it may be a time-sucking distraction from your goal.

    Also, shorten your reel:)

    Thanks for sharing.

I'm totally in favor of self taught technical skills. But when it comes to design and animation basics, I think its totally worth it to take a class or five.

how competitive (and viable) is the Motion Graphic biz atm (bearing in mind the current economic climate isn't too hot in the US and UK)?

    top presentation btw

where was this video when i was in school? i feel like my college adventure was more about artistic exploration, friendships and drinking. we weren't really prepared for the real world. i've only recently stumbled upon your blog due to my own interest in C4D and i'm glad i have. thank you nick.
