In this video, Julian describes three common setups that he uses in the studio, using mostly one or two broncolor light modifiers. The first, is a single light set up in which the broncolor Flooter is used as the primary light – he deems it a “classic Fresnel, and one of the most versatile lights you can use.” Next, is a typical beauty shot using a two light beauty combination of the broncolor Para for fill and a silver beauty dish as the main. The third setup is a sunny backlight, in which Julian tries to mimic the concept of a girl standing in front of a window on a summer day using both the P70 reflector and a Satellite dish. Julian adjusted the Scoro pack a couple hundred degrees warmer so that he was able to create a sunkissed effect. These are just three examples of simple lighting setups used by professional photographers that one can easily accomplish and modify to their own personal requirements.
