VEYO is a tangible, table-top video game designed for simultaneous playing and editing. The game is a 2D side-scroller projected onto a table, where one player controls the hero with a traditional game pad, and another player uses a stamp tool to add power-ups, obstacles, and enemies to the game world.
VEYO was developed with pygame (specifically, code.google.com/p/emagyp/) and EyesWeb by Alex Dragulescu, Kate Hollenbach, and Ana Luisa Santos for Hiroshi Ishii's course on Tangible User Interfaces at the MIT Media Lab. Special thanks to Drew Harry and Dietmar Offenhuber for their help with the physical installation and machine vision.
