Telling Your Story - How Development Principles Guide Our Work

Speaker:
Paige Mac Leod, International Partnerships Manager, Committee for Children

The Global Washington 2011 Conference Session, Telling Our Story - How Development Principles Guide Our Work, is a celebration of the dedication and hard work that has created an extraordinary global development community in our State. The goal of the session is to recognize individuals or organizations that embody best practices of aid effectiveness, serving as an inspiration and a model for the global development field in the US and worldwide. The principles upon which such effectiveness will be measured are Transparency and Accountability, Coherence and Coordination, Local Ownership, and
Targeting.

Telling Our Story’s format will use our own version of the ―Ignite method involving a presentation in 5 minutes, with 20 slides (photos and graphics only) to tell their story and foster discussions about these innovative solutions.
