The principal photography for this video was shot in Los Angeles in one day with zero budget. The idea came about after learning that the song was about a UFO sighting. I began thinking of the many ways to incorporate a spacecraft into live action footage. This is what was thought up; alien match-makers fly around the universe to beam up strangers with similarities to beam them down now as a couple. The video was shot on the Canon XH-A1 on HDV. In post, James Fitzpatrick used 3d Equilizer to motion track and then output to After Effects where he placed the UFO on all of the live action shots complete with light beams and particles flying in the air. Mike Brown took aluminum foil planets, asteroids, and UFO to animate the outerspace travel animation in After Effects. Video was output to H.264 1220x780 resolution.
