The continuing world economic crisis is continuing to impact the BC government's attempt to generate new jobs. There has been recent good news with the announced $8B shipbuilding contract with the federal government. The new jobs plan seems to be primarily focused in the resource sector. Many observers are concerned that the province will be unable to both power all of the announced projects and as well find the skill work force.
