For 133 days and nearly 2,800 miles I backpacked along the backbone of America, also known as the Continental Divide. It's a National Scenic Trail still very much in infancy. This year, 2011, was a superlative of years as there was not a day that went by that I didn't encounter record snow level, run off, fire or drought. Yet I persevered and in mid September I reached the northern terminus.
It's hard to sum up this kind of a journey in a few words, so I won't. Instead, I hope this thirty minute video can help you understand the challenges, rewards, passion and commitment it has taken me in completing such an unparalleled journey.
(PS I recommend you watch this not in full screen view as being a video of this length I am restricted to certain file sizes and therefore the quality is much better as it appears on this webpage.)
