94. The Perennial Plate Episode 78: Eating Insects
3 months ago
Before you call this video gross, or trendy, or sensationalist... watch it. David Gracer, an entomophagy (bug eating) expert gives a pretty good case for making wider use of bugs. And of course I eat like 12 varieties... enjoy.

Stumbled upon your video via facebook newsfeed, and joined vimeo just to tell you how awesome it is! I'm loving the topics of your other videos - hooray for another distraction from work :) Come to Philly and meet our urban farms.

This idea of insect farming interests me greatly. And those super green grasshoppers look kinda tasty. I think I'm down for eating anything that color.
  • Daniel Klein plus 3 months ago
it is pretty fascinating. feeding other animals insects seems to be especially possible and useful. Green is good.

The environmentalist angle is great. I've had a few different types of bug in Thailand and they were all fantastic... unfortunately don't see them for sale here (Melbourne)
