That was cool Paul, your wee boy is too cute, I remember having too much fun trying to break open the ice when I was a kid....what am I talking about I still have fun doing it.
  • Paul Davis plus 10 months ago
Ah, Maria, thank you so much. A day will come when they won't want daddy to hang around and shoot video of them. Might as well get a few when they're young.

And, yes, I may just have to go break some ice myself some time.

    i enjoyed the music.
however, i felt the transition from music to excerpts of your son talking was too fast; that is, the contrast between the loud and fast music and the quickly inserted six year old musings was harsh on the ears.
also, I did not feel that the slow motion sequences added much.
with all that said, it's still a cute movie with a good soundtrack.
  • Paul Davis plus 10 months ago
Thank you for the advice, Julian. I think you're right that the transitions may have been too quick. I'll work on that with future projects.

Thanks for the feedback! I'm glad you thought it was cute. As long as it brought a smile. =D

Beautiful son is your friend. A friend who would be there for you and stand by you. I look at my son's as my best friend's. Who know's me well as I know myself and who share best intrest in this life together.
Your son is another you Paul. He love your company and will learn every little thing in this life through you and you to appreciate. I really respect your family to share the moment of joy with us. Best day ever sounded like BEST DADDY EVER!!! Love don't go wrong. We can mistake the love and have different opinion's but your love to your son and through your honest and friendly share of the moment of your life is highly appreciated. It is a joy to watch both of you in love.
Thank you very much for your sharing and your invitation my dear friend Paul. Thank you very much and have a wonderful day my dear friend and family.

Ducks, rocks, and pebbles. Oh my! It WAS the best day ever! Thank you for sharing that with us.

On Vimeo you might get more "constructive criticism" about song choice or frame speed, etc. These come from well intentioned artists who want to help you improve.

But how can you improve on a video of you and your Son in the park...and him repeatedly saying it "was the best day ever?" That's just perfect.

Videos are subjective. I enjoyed the entire show. It was precious and heart-touching. It reminds me to be more appreciative of the little things in life. Well done.
  • Paul Davis plus 10 months ago
I'm glad you enjoyed it! =D

And, I don't mind constructive criticism. It helps me learn. I'm new at all this, and far from becoming a master at film/video making.

Paul I"m sorry I"m delayed in commentting on this one - this was my second look as I was rushed the other day and wanted to come back which I did. Really wonderful day out story and the color is just gorgeous man. Clearly winter light was with you but for the techie side which camera are using as a sidebar? Enjoy this time as I"m sure you are. My son just recently turned 14 and it's really 0-14 in the blink of an eye...
  • Paul Davis plus 10 months ago
