I need to edit more of this. I think I have more that two hours of old home made stuff!
a perfect home movie.
tell your dad he is very talented.
perfect soundtrack, too.
Actually, most super 8 home movies were shot on Kodachrome, which is practically indestructible
thanks
Don't I...opsss...doesn't he deserve an oscar?
LOL
Beautiful!
any tips on how to digitize super-8?
thanks for the inspiration!

Thanks for watching.
But this was really fantastic! A great look into the past that I could never be a part of (since I wasn't alive! ha!)
Muito bacana!!!!
A] you are very lucky to have old family footage.
and B] this came out really awesome. More so because its not just some stock footage, but your own and its real.
very kewl~
Thanks for watching.
Thank you for sharing some of your memories and please thank your father for making a really nice movie.
Im sure this video is very much nostalgic for you.
......... and then again: THANK YOU!
love it !
Simples e irado!!
E a câmera ainda funciona?
So much love and nostalgia put into it.
How do you feel, after recompiling all this footage and making a simple and emotional montage?
I'm about to have a 8mm camera soon, because I simply love the texture of the film...
I love the texture above all. It influenced my work until today! I miss that in the digital era.
I just bought myself a 8mm camera today because of this very clip you posted. I have worked with 16mm a few times, but super 8 has this inherent nostalgia that is very hard to explain, probably a combination of the grain, scratches, saturation, square ratio, hand held shakiness, etc...
We should start a group in which people post 8mm camera videos. It could be a great way of photographing things that we love in a nostalgic and with a historic feeling. Maybe it could be great to have that in a Vimeo community.
Maybe something interesting can come out from it... What the two of you think of the idea?
hugs both of you,
Pablillo
Iori and Pablillo: yes! let's open our S-8 group! I don't have a camera anymore, but I have 4 hours of old footage transfered, that I intend to post, little by little (Super 8 - 1974 was the first video I made of it).
Do you want me to create it and put you two as moderators/adminstrators? I can do it tomorrow.
Jarbas
I agree with the creation of the group. I believe it could become an interesting collective. I'll wait for the invitation. Later on, we could organize ourselves a little better and work with all the aesthetics of the whole group.
hugs,
