AC for the Bold Italic. We love working with locals. And San Francisco is teaming with inspiring artists, independent business owners, and locally run magazines. That’s why it made perfect sense for us to team up The Bold Italic, an editorial publication both online and in print that focuses on San Francisco neighborhoods and their interesting occupant.

This first collaboration documents Hugh Leeman, a local street artist and recent recipient of the SFWeekly Masterminds Grant. We hear from Hugh, one of his portrait subjects ‘Blue’, and the owner of White Walls Gallery, to give us a clearer picture of Hugh’s social mission and hopes for the future of the Tenderloin.
