"When I look at this photo I feel emotional, which surprises me," says Yvonne.
"It's a long time ago, and I see a mother who had no brothers or sisters of her own."
Yvonne describes the photo, taken 30 years ago, as part of an annual holiday ritual, involving more than 90 family members.
The photo was taken at Glen Davis alongside the Capertee River on a private property near the Wollemi National Park.
"Family is very important to me," Yvonne continues.
"These children now bring their own children, so we've got three generations coming here now.
"None of us prompts or brings any pressure on anybody to come, but they're coming and bringing their own children."
"We each want to come together at this place and we'll move mountains to get there."
