I liked the trick with lightening up the blue channel in the shadows. Though I would have done most of the parts already in Camera Raw / Lightroom. (I know, I know, less control)
I recently used a 8mm camera again and it gave me nearly the same look when I watched it afterwards. Love it.

I use PS CS3 on mac as well, but that thing you do with the opacity using the numbers on the keyboard doesn't work with me for some reason... any ideas?

typing is much nicer than having to watch your mouse and slider whil you actually want to see the picture.

nice, I didn't know about bringing the blacks up a touch. I'm looking for a portfolio site just like your creamy orange, is that something you designed or is there a template somewhere I can find?
