After the failure of my more traditional leaf blower powered furnace to reduce the iron ore to iron, I was demoralised. The thought of building another furnace and spending another day attempting to produce a bloom of iron wasn't attractive so I looked around for an alternative heat source. Microwaves are so much more convenient...
