    I think with a few more sensors and possibly less thick foam this could be quite usable. Right now it looks like a great instillation in a tech museum for children to play with :)

    This is brilliant! awesome! fantastic! there's no limits to the stuff you an do with this. just imagine what this could do with a 3D sensor matrix like this:

    the white cubes are foam cubes, the red dots are sensors. imagine that in layers.
    with that, you could sense sideways movement of the hand, or even pulling in the foam.
    with the right coding, this technology really has possibilities.
