MJDS 8th graders culminated their Jewish immigration unit by learning to cook immigrant foods, with guest teacher Geveret Marge Eiseman. They made vegetarian cholent, noodle kugel, rugalach, and burekas. Afterwards, they sampled the foods and participated in the annual, "Borsht Challenge."
