Renewable energy sources are championed as clean and affordable means of power that will transform our society. The effects of bio-fuels have been seen throughout the economy and the world. Much of the attention has been in the form of praise, but there are many unanswered questions and difficulties surrounding the technology. Is it really as affordable as it's made out to be? Does it take more energy to produce than other sources available? What are the alternatives?
