Souleymane Camara – UX Consultant at Foolproof/Flow

A socio-technical examination of mobile phone adoption and use in emerging markets: the case of sub-Saharan Africa. Souleymane has over eight years cumulative experience in interactive instruction design, teaching and learning in higher education, research and publication.

Prior to Foolproof/Flow, Souleymane worked for several years as an Interactive Education Consultant for various African countries designing, training and producing interactive educational programmes and social campaigns. He is a dedicated researcher interested in interaction design with an emphasis on participation and evaluation of socio-technical issues, multi-disciplinarity, context and culture. He is constantly monitoring mobile phone adoption and mobile e-learning in sub-Saharan Africa.

Building Something Special

BBC, System Concepts, Aardman and Ambitious About Autism

Earlier this year, teams from the BBC, Aardman Digital and System Concepts Ltd collaborated to produce a new accessible web site for the CBeebies TV Show Something Special. In this talk, those involved in the project will share the lessons they learnt about designing an online website specifically for children with physical and cognitive impairment. The talk will cover how online resources are currently used in SEN schools, how requirements were gathered for the new site, the importance of user research and what challenges the development team had to overcome during the sites development.
